First seen at Watches and Wonders 2023, the brand added a variant to the collection sporting a dynamic grey dial. Its stunning pattern is inspired by a glacier of the Mont Blanc massif \u2013 the <em>Mer de Glace<\/em>. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2250\" height=\"3000\" src=\"https:\/\/pureluxurymag.com\/watchnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/montblanc-brings-back-the-1858-iced-sea-automatic-date-with-grey-dial.jpg\" alt class=\"wp-image-147092\"><\/figure>\n<p>At certain light exposures, glacial ice appears gray due to the mineral deposits that have accumulated over the millennia. A special technique called <em>gratt\u00e9-bois\u00e9<\/em> is used to bring this pattern to life on the dial, which lends it a striking aura of depth and radiance.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2250\" height=\"3000\" src=\"https:\/\/pureluxurymag.com\/watchnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/montblanc-brings-back-the-1858-iced-sea-automatic-date-with-grey-dial-1.jpg\" alt class=\"wp-image-147093\"><\/figure>\n<p>The 41mm stainless steel case is pressure-tested to 30 bar and is also decorated with an engraving that depicts a diver exploring the glacier lake in relief.<\/p>\n<p>As an ISO 6425-certified diver\u2019s watch, the newcomer features a luminescent dial as well as a unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel, on which the first 15 minutes are color-coded.
