Watch enthusiasts, mark your calendars for WatchTime New York 2023<\/a><\/strong>, taking place at Manhattan\u2019s historic Gotham Hall from October 20th to 22nd. The three-day extravaganza promises a deep dive into the world of horological excellence, with brand presentations, industry panels, and hands-on experiences that will captivate watch collectors. One of the standout timepieces to be featured at the event is the Armin Strom<\/a> Mirrored Force Resonance Manufacture Edition Green<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Crafted in the manufacture\u2019s workshop, this uncommon watch quickly catches the attention with its striking open-worked, green-touched dial. The model follows in the line of previous Mirrored Force Resonance designs, a line which dates to 2016 and saw its last major update in the first half of 2022. This latest model saw its debut in the spring of this year.<\/p>\n

On the wrist, the watch wears a 43mm across with a height of 11.55mm, with its dimensions working to provide a sturdy yet fully elegant enclosure for its showcased mechanics within. A small notch at 6 o\u2019clock position alongside a slightly extended-stemmed crown adds some signature accents of the collection to the look, while a stepped pusher assists in model\u2019s unique flyback complication and a mirror polishing throughout elevates the aesthetic.<\/p>\n

The star of the Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance is the open-worked dial and integrated movement, showcasing the brand\u2019s mastery in fine watchmaking and mechanical resonance technology. The dial catches the eye with its soft green hues on its primary timekeeping aspects, each featuring an uncommon, textured grenage<\/em> finish. Grenage is a dial technique originating in the 19th<\/sup> century where a solid silver dial is finely engraved and then hand-filled with lacquer before being cured and then finely polished.<\/p>\n

The hue itself draws its influence from vintage equipment at Armin Strom\u2019s manufacture. Claude Greisler, Armin Strom\u2019s Master Watchmaker and co-founder, explains, \u201cWe chose this green because it harmonizes with the polished and decorated parts of the open-worked movement. And the grenage finish gives a contrast to the polished indexes. This frizzy, kind of frosted surface reflects some light \u2013 but it is not too loud. It doesn\u2019t overwhelm your attention and it shouldn\u2019t compete with the movement.\u201d<\/p>\n

The open-worked movement framing the green dial serves as a showcase for the meticulous handmade decoration techniques expressed by the brand\u2019s watchmakers. Every detail, from the balance bridges to its chamfers, is hand polished. Even the dial side surfaces receive meticulous finishes, including frosted, perlaged, or circular-grained textures. Moreover, according to the brand, the movement is assembled by hand twice to ensure its quality.<\/p>\n
