For its 130th anniversary, Union Glash\u00fctte <\/strong>presents the 1893 Johannes D\u00fcrrstein Editio<\/strong>n Chronograph,<\/strong> a limited stopwatch paying homage to the rare pocket watch chronographs of bygone eras and its founder Johannes D\u00fcrrstein. <\/p>\n

The watch is inspired by a unique pocket watch model from the 1920s, currently in the possession of the Glash\u00fctte based brand. The dial of the vintage pocket watch has been faithfully transferred to the wristwatch. The main surface is silver with a brushed finish, while the sub dials are brushed in a circular pattern. <\/p>\n

The numerals have been completely reconstructed from the original, as have the blued hands. A modern touch is added by the date window at 6 o\u2019clock, adjusted via a corrector at ten o\u2019clock. The sub dial at 3 o\u2019clock displays the chronograph minutes, while at 9 o\u2019clock the small seconds are indicated. <\/p>\n

The stainless steel 316L case has a diameter of 42mm and is water-resistant up to ten bars, equivalent to a depth of 100 meters. The hand-wound caliber UNG-59.S1 with a magnetic resistant silicon hairspring is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. It operates at a frequency of four hertz, equivalent to 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour, and offers a power reserve of 60 hours. <\/p>\n

The Union Glash\u00fctte 1893 Johannes D\u00fcrrstein Edition Chronograph comes with a blue calfskin leather strap and is limited to 300 pieces. Pricing is marked at approximately $3,700 when converted to USD.<\/p>\n
