Citizen<\/strong> <\/a>is expanding its Series 8 <\/strong>collection with a modern and compelling sporty aquatic watch. Crafted in stainless steel, the Series 8 890 <\/strong>is water resistant to 200 meters; its barrel-shaped case, enhanced by a mix of polished and brushed surfaces, measures 42.6mm by 11.7mm and is equipped with an octagonal bezel.<\/p>\n

Also polished, brushed, and beveled, the distinct bezel frames the functionally designed luminescent dial with bold markers and oversized hour and minute hands, as well as a date window at 3 o\u2019clock. Quite stunning is the checked pattern of the dial, a motif inspired by Japanese city skylines, that create a beautiful play of light. The internal diving bezel placed on the rehaut and operated by the push-piece at 2 o\u2019clock also adds to the highly distinguished look of the dial, which itself is protected by a sapphire crystal. <\/p>\n

The same goes for the self-winding manufacture movement, the Citizen Caliber 9051, with its exhibition caseback; the movement operates at 4 Hz and offers an accuracy of -10 to +20 seconds per day. The Series 8 890 Mechanical is fitted with an integrated metal bracelet with H-shaped links and alternating surface finishes. <\/p>\n

In addition to the blue version, there is limited edition of 1,700 pieces, which comes with an awesome copper dial distinguished by a texture inspired by cherry blossoms. There is also a third execution, presented in a gold-colored case paired with a gray dial.<\/p>\n

Pricing for the new Citizen Series 8 890 is marked at $1,595 for the regular steel variant and the limited edition, and at $1,695 for the gold-colored version. <\/p>\n
