Circula<\/a><\/strong>, a family-owned company based in Pforzheim introduces the ProFlight<\/strong> pilot\u2019s watch. Inspired by the history of pilot\u2019s watches from this German watchmaking cradle, the ProFlight combines sophisticated modern design with unmistakable historical \u201cflieger<\/em>\u201d (i.e. pilots) features.<\/p>\n

The ProFlight was designed in collaboration with Swiss star designer Guy Bove<\/strong>, who previously worked as Creative Director for TAG Heuer and IWC, among others. All design features have been thought through down to the smallest detail. The numerals, for example, are individually designed for perfect legibility and tie in with the design codes of the case through a subtle mix of hard edges and precise curves. <\/p>\n

The circular pattern on the inside reflects the rotation of the propeller second hand. The hour hand offers a short but wide luminous surface in one shape and echoes the shape of the faceted and slightly elongated steel case. It also has the same front angle as the pilot\u2019s triangle. The modern design of the 12 o\u2019clock marker plays with the traditional flieger <\/em>triangle in a lighter, more dynamic design. Its dots are located exactly at the 59 and 01 minute-second positions for perfect readability. The watch is the first model to receive the new Circula logo, which updates the historical design.<\/p>\n

The hand-sandblasted, faceted stainless steel case is anti-magnetic up to 80,000 A\/m thanks to a soft iron cage and protects the caliber Sellita SW200-1 Elabor\u00e9<\/em> that ticks inside. Sapphire crystal and a special surface treatment of the case ensure maximum robustness of up to 1,200 Vickers. With a water resistance of up to 150 meters and a screw-down crown in bold flieger<\/em> design, the ProFlight proofs as a reliable companion in any situation. The watch measures 40mm wide and 12mm thick. <\/p>\n

The new Circula ProFlight is available on a matching sailcloth textile strap from at $1,029 in the brand\u2019s online store. A scratch-resistant steel bracelet is optionally available for an additional $170.<\/p>\n
