Expanding its iconic Serpenti collection, Bulgari debuted its Serpenti Tubogas Infinity at LVMH Watch Week early this year. The release joined a larger collection of pieces following the brand’s “Time is a Jewel” motif, and as such it is covered with gem settings from the dial to the bracelet. The theme is appropriate, as this year marks the 75th anniversary of the release of the first Serpenti from the brand.
Following suit with many of Bulgari’s Serpenti models, the watch is suitable for small wrists with a modest diameter of 35mm. The case is made from warm-toned rose gold and features the iconic Serpenti snake-head silhouette. The bezel is entirely set with diamonds and the crown at 3 o’clock mimics the pink tone of the case with a fuchsia cabochon.
The case features an integrated bracelet style that seamlessly joins the diamond-studded case with a continued line of diamonds on the bracelet. The bracelet has a line of diamonds that extends all the way to its end, flowing in a curved line throughout the bracelet like a true snake shape. In total, the watch is set with 486 diamonds. Like many other Serpenti models, the newest is available with a single or double-wrap bracelet, with each style offering a level of intimacy as the bracelet wraps around the wearer’s wrist.
For the dial, Bulgari opts for an entire array of diamonds with no space on the background proper left unadorned. The only detail breaking up the collection of diamonds are the rose gold indices applied at each position. For 12 and 6 o’clock, the indices are Roman numerals, whereas the rest are simple geometric shapes instead. Two rose gold sword-shaped hands tick atop the dial, with a quartz movement powering the time-only operation.
The Bulgari Serpenti Tubogas Infinity is available with a single-wrap bracelet (ref. 103791) retailing for $66,000 and with a double-wrap bracelet (ref. 103792) priced at $85,000.
