Introducing moon phase, power reserve, and large date functionalities in a single timepiece, Frederique Constant unveils a trio of complications through its new FC-735 in-house caliber. Launched at this year’s Geneva Watch Days, the timepiece marks a novel addition for the Geneva-based brand as it commemorates its 35th anniversary this year. Representing such a significant release from the brand, the new timepiece will serve as Frederique Constant’s highlight at this year’s WatchTime New York, taking place October 20 to 22 at Manhattan’s Gotham Hall.
This remarkable movement makes its debut in the Classic Power Reserve Big Date Manufacture, housed within a 40mm case. Upholding the brand’s tradition, user-friendliness is a priority; all three complications, along with time adjustment and winding, are conveniently controlled via the crown positioned at 3 o’clock. Furthermore, this automatic movement ensures a substantial power reserve of 50 hours.
At the nine o’clock position, the power reserve is indicated by a delicate hand that sweeps across a 0 to 50 scale, culminating in a red zone. Positioned between two and three o’clock, the large date is displayed through a framed dual window, while the moon phase complication adorns the six o’clock position, depicting the textured image of the lunar sphere against a star-studded blue backdrop.
The unlimited base model is available with a blue or silver dial and retails for $4,995. In addition, there is a 350-pieces limited edition rose gold variant with a grey watch face and a price tag of $19,995 and as the flagship product, a platinum version with a blue meteorite dial limited to 35 pieces and priced at $27,995.
