Just released by H. Moser & Cie at Dubai Watch Week is the new Streamliner Small Seconds Blue Enamel watch. Taking Moser’s highly successful integrated sport watch and adding an all-new movement, the SSBE wears smaller than the standard Streamliner and adds a stunning blue dial that might make for the sleekest iteration yet.
All new is the HMC 500 automatic calibre which is the the smallest movement the brand has developed (at least in the 21st century since the brand was revived) and, more importantly, it is the brand’s first micro-rotor movement. Moser’s sister company Precision Engineering AG and Agenhor are responsible for helping build the movement which required substantially smaller components like a new escapement and micro-rotor done in platinum that is mounted on a ball bearing and equipped with a bi-directional pawl winding system. Finished in dark anthracite grey coating with Moser stripes, the HMC 500 operates at 21,600 vph with a 74-hour power reserve.
This new movement allows for a 39mm wide and 10.9mm thick case with 120 m of water resistance. The classic Streamliner case shape and bracelet are unchanged though the dial is certainly new. Dubbed “Aqua Blue” in a Grand Feu enamel comprised of three pigments, the dial has an engrained pattern done on a gold base. The classic Globolight coated Streamliner hands are still present while the center seconds hand is replaced with a lacquered seconds sub-dial with circular pattern at 6 o’clock.
Smaller and popping with a new eye-catching dial, the H. Moser & Cie Streamliner Small Seconds Blue Enamel is priced at 29,900 CHF.
