Today, Britain’s largest manufacturer of luxury watches, Bremont, announced the appointment of seasoned veteran Davide Cerrato as their new CEO and Board member. Bremont has been run by Nick and Giles English since the siblings founded the company, which is best known for their pilot’s watches, in 2002. The appointment comes after the £48.4M ($59M) investment by Bill Ackman and Hellcat LP in January.
Cerrato brings with him extensive experience in the watch industry, having worked with some of its most iconic brands including Tudor, Montblanc, and Panerai. At Tudor, Cerrato served as Head of Marketing, Design & Product Development and oversaw the re-launch of the brand. His efforts resulted in the iconic Black Bay watch, which became one of Tudor’s most successful and popular collections. As the Managing Director of Montblanc’s watch division, he created the 1858 Geosphere watch. Most recently, he served as CEO and Creative Director of HYT.
